Beginners Beekeeping Course – starts 5th May, max 10 participants

Our Beginner’s Course will start on 5th May ’26. There will be 5 talks (7.30pm – 9pm) about bees, hives and honey – a different topic at each talk, delivered by 6 experienced beekeepers, on 5th May, 19th May, 2nd June, 17th June and 30th June, plus apiary sessions at the weekends in-between these dates. Thereafter there will further apiary visits until October. We will teach you how to understand what’s going on in the hive, and how to handle the bees – it’s very hands-on.

The cost is £85 for the course, and includes the loan of a beesuit, for the duration of the course, as well as Association membership for the year, with access to additional talks from guest speakers, advice, bee handling sessions and equipment. Just bring yourself, gloves and wellies.
