SUMMARY:Beginners Beekeeping Course – starts 5th May\, max 10 participants
DESCRIPTION:Our Beginner’s Course will start on 5th May ’26. There will be 5 talks (7.30pm – 9pm) about bees\, hives and honey – a different topic at each talk\, delivered by 6 experienced beekeepers\, on 5th May\, 19th May\, 2nd June\, 17th June and 30th June\, plus apiary sessions at the weekends in-between these dates. Thereafter there will further apiary visits until October. We will teach you how to understand what’s going on in the hive\, and how to handle the bees – it’s very hands-on. \nThe cost is £85 for the course\, and includes the loan of a beesuit\, for the duration of the course\, as well as Association membership for the year\, with access to additional talks from guest speakers\, advice\, bee handling sessions and equipment.
